PAYBACK – the product.

PAYBACK is about more than just collecting points. In the Product Management department, we develop all the products and services needed by our partners and customers in international markets to collect and redeem points. In this way, we ensure that customers are always able to use all PAYBACK services on their favourite channels: offline, online and mobile on smartphones and tablets.

We develop highly scalable international solutions for millions of customers in Germany and for our international markets.

In the Product Management department, we develop visions of how our PAYBACK services can be used even more easily and effectively. We then fully implement these until they are ready to go live.

We understand the needs of our customers and digitise their brick-and-mortar business with a multichannel customer experience. Big data processes enable us to communicate in an effective and more carefully targeted way. 

We are the contacts for the functionality, usability, performance and quality of our applications. In the course of our work, we talk to all the neighbouring teams in the IT Development, Delivery & Operations, Partner Management and Business Development departments and also with colleagues in the Legal department to ensure we comply with data protection requirements. It is also especially important for us to regularly exchange information with Customer Services, as colleagues here are in daily contact with our customers so that they can address their issues and concerns.

We also advise our partners on all PAYBACK products and ensure there is a smooth technical connection between our partners and their cash register systems. This allows all points collected to be credited to customers as quickly and accurately as possible.

How the Product management team contributes to the company’s success

Digital change in the retail sector is a very important topic for PAYBACK. Our department is a market innovator for the digitisation of markets in brick-and-mortar and online retail. In the Product Management department, we actively shape digital change with our products to ensure we remain the most popular bonus programme among customers and partners and our multichannel marketing platform continues to impress with outstanding results. We are driving forward digitisation not only online and on mobile devices, but also directly at our partners’ points of sale.

Lots of ideas are continually generated – to improve our existing solutions and also for the development of new products.
